Recently I have been receiving a number of queries regarding my older tutorial products. Most of these were purchased by customers five  or more years ago. At the time I was using a video format called Flash to make the videos available on most platforms and web browsers. However with the evolution of operating systems and browsers the Flash video format is no longer supported as much.

I switched to MP4 video files  handful of years ago and have not had an issue, as this format is playable ubiquitously. If you have one of my older videos and can no longer play them in your browser you have two choices...

1. Download VLC Media Player . It is free and this program will play the *.FLV files I created. The names of the files roughly correspond to the sections- so all is not lost. Tutorials that may no longer play correctly on your computer include very old versions of CCDStack and Photoshop tutorials as well as the object tutorials including NGC 6914, NGC 6302,  and Sh2-136.

2. Alternatively you can purchase my NEW tutorials. I have a new version of the Photoshop Tutorial called "Dimensions of Photoshop" that I completed in late 2015. In the summer of 2016 I completed a completely redone/new version of the CCDStack tutorial as well.  Both of these versions encapsulate everything that the old versions had as well as have completely new material. They both highlight the latest versions of the software (which will likely match your experience). They have improved explanations and they both even come with some high quality data to follow along with me in processing.

The object tutorials (of the "Cosmic Canvas" series) that you see on the product tutorial page are all also up-to-date with MP4 videos and instructional material. The objects include M1, NGC 520, NGC 521, vdB 1, and M77.

I sit here at my computer trying to think of words to describe how impressive this image is to me. The best I can do falls so far short of acceptable that I will not even try... The wonder and awe of an image like this is why I love astronomy so very much. Thank you allowing me the pleasure of seeing it. - D. Mosely
